          It is used on my dormer windows and it is not too big. It fits the angle created by the slope of the roof and the window. At the door you don't look at the bottom of a box (also prevents wasp nests)

            This product is very nice at first glance but in real use the back side would be seen from a sitting position on a deck/porch and would be very unsightly. If you are using as a window box where the back side isn't seen you would probably be happy with this item. The Elho Corsica Flower Bridge Planters (also available from Hayneedle) worked much better for our deck railing and I highly recommend these vs the Wicker railing baskets

                I have beem searching for YEARS for this exact thing....and I finally found them. I mounted these window boxes to my windows and they look great. I got the Antique brown (house is Oak Buff with Gingerbread trim) and it makes my house look complete. Like the little happy cottage home that it is is!! I would highly recommend them.
