Q1: Hi there, How would these hold up if we painted them? Please let me know. Thanks, Celia
A: Hi Celia, these planter boxes come to you pre-stained. If you would like to paint them, you would first need to completely sand away the stain, then apply the paint.
Q2: I am very interested in this planter, but I need something that can roll. Is it possible to add casters to this planter that will not mar a wood floor?
A: Yes, you certainly can put casters on the bottom of the legs. Most hardware or home improvement store have these and I'm sure you can find some that will not damage your wood floors.
Q3: Can I plant directly into the Cedar planters or must I use a pot placed in the planter
A: You can plant directly with soil in these planter boxes. We recommend that some rock or some type of product be put in the bottom first for aeration and then soil can be put on top of that. You might see some staining on the planter boxes due to the water, which is why a liner is recommended, but not necessary to prevent staining of the planter box. The planter boxes should be re-sealed annually, but not on the inside.
