Very disappointed with this product after spending more than I had wanted to for window boxes. Bottom line: Nice design, poorly executed construction. Maintenance will include wood filling, sanding, and repainting each and every season as these boxes do not withstand the outdoors. Simply not worth the price.

Very nice design. You can easily drill drainage holes if needed. I'm not quite sure why the first reviewer had difficulty. If I purchase a planter w/o drainage holes, I just get my drill out and get to drilling. :-)

Another reviewer stated there are no drain holes but I drilled three in my wood box to address this problem. Nice that there is a plastic liner box included to protect the wood sides of the planter. I drilled holes in that, too.

However, as beautiful as this box is, the paint is peeling off it in less than a month outside. I will have to sand, prime and paint in the fall.

Also, the joints are poorly mitred and are separating. They should have been glued with outdoor glue.

So, I can't recommend this box for the price that it sells at. If it were priced around $25, I'd figure that at the end of the season I'd repaint for the following year but not at this price.

Manufacturer needs to improve the quality of the construction as well as the paint application if they intend to have repeat customers.

All in all, a beautiful flower box but the paint peeling isn't too pretty.

Planter does not have drain holes! If you live where it rains your plants will die from overwatering like mine.
