The stand is sturdy, but the shelves do not provide enough room for bigger plants or plants that have hanging folage.

I was looking for a plant stand to fit in a small space, and under a window; this was a perfect fit. The tile shelves fold up so it can be stored in even less space. The tiles aren't that attractive, but hey-we've got plants on them.
